Diana Szeinblum

(b. Buenos Aires, 1964) is a dancer, actress and choreographer. Her probing productions investigate the body and its expressive potential via a rigorous dramaturgy. Una cosa por vez posits such questions as, What happens if, for once, we suspend our usual way of looking at objects and let these objects guide our movements? Do objects have a system of their own, independent of the one we project on them? She has danced in the General San Martín Theater’s Contemporary Ballet under the direction of Oscar Araiz and won a scholarship from the Goethe Institute to study at the famous Folkwang Tanz Schule in Germany, where she became part of the F.T.S. Company under the artistic direction of Pina Bausch.
