In The Death of Nature the artist creates a space in which one can reflect on our relationship with animals, our animal instincts and the way in which animals are embedded within semiotics. The complex spectrum of emotional and physical instincts we share with animals is played out within the film footage projected onto the artists torso. “While you’re trying to stay healthy at your favorite gym burning miles and kilowatts, covered with logos supposedly communicating your health, most likely your wealth, you might as well want to surf through your favourite animal documentary channels. How refreshing or disturbing do you find that wild sex scene, or that cruel massacre for survival?” (Eloise Fornieles)
