Rosario Bléfari

(b.1965, Mar del Plata, Argentina) is an actress, singer, songwriter and writer. Her artistic process is driven by the desire to know and experience different disciplines without being tied to their rules. In Corte, movimiento y adhesión, Bléfari works with fragments of trees that have been brutally pruned. The documentation shows the creation of what the artist has termed a new “language-routine,” a form of gestural and narrative expression that allows for the transformation of these once extant tree parts into totemic objects. In the ‘90s, Bléfari fronted the rock band Suá- rez. In 2013, she formed the band Sué Mon Mont, together with musicians from the local indie rock scene. She has worked with Vivi Tellas in theater, and in film with Martín Rejtman, Toscano and Ra- dusky, José Luis Torres Leiva, Milagros Mumenthaler, and others. As a teacher, she has conducted writing and song workshops across Argentina and at the 7th Mercosul Biennial in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
